How to use the corn harvester correctly

2022 07/11

TAGRM's corn harvesting machinery has the characteristics of the advanced design concept, high harvesting efficiency, and simple maintenance, but it also has certain requirements for operation technology. We must learn to use these harvesting machinery correctly to ensure work efficiency and prolong the life of the machine. Here, we talk about how to use the corn harvester:

1. Matters needing attention when working
①The corn harvester should be smoothly combined with the clutch of the working parts before the operation, the throttle should be increased from small to large, and the harvesting operation can be started only when the rated speed is stable.
②When the corn harvester is working in the field, it is necessary to regularly check the cutting and crushing quality and the height of the stubble, and adjust the height of the header at any time according to the situation.
③ Check the work of the ear picking device according to the number of kernels thrown to the ground. The loss of kernels should not exceed 0.5% of the total corn kernels. When the loss is large, check whether the working gap between the ear picking boards is correct.
④ The work of the corn harvester should be interrupted for 1 to 2 minutes, and the working parts should be idling, to remove all the corn ears, grains, and other residues from the working parts, and do not allow the working parts to be blocked. When the working parts are blocked, the machine should be stopped in time to remove the blockage, otherwise, it will increase the friction of the corn harvester and damage the parts.
⑤ When the corn harvester turns or encounters puddles along the cornrow, the header should be raised to the transport position. When operating in the field with a ditch, the corn harvester can only operate along the direction of the ditch.

2. Trial operation
Within the first 30 hours of work, it is recommended that the speed of the harvester be 20% to 25% lower than the normal speed, and the normal working speed can be carried out according to the working speed recommended in the manual. After the trial operation, thoroughly check the assembly and tightening degree of each component, the correctness of assembly adjustment, and the working state of electrical equipment. Replace all reducers, and closed gearbox oil.

3. No-load test run
① Disengage the engine clutch and put the gear lever in the neutral position.
②Start the engine and engage the clutch at low speed. When all the working parts and various mechanisms are in normal operation, gradually increase the engine speed to the rated speed, and then make the harvester run at the rated speed.
③ During operation, carry out the following inspections: sequentially start the hydraulic cylinders of the hydraulic system to check the working condition of the hydraulic system, the sealing condition of the hydraulic pipeline, and hydraulic parts; check the braking condition of the harvester (while driving). After every 20 minutes of operation, disengage the engine clutch, check whether the bearing is overheated, the transmission condition of the belt and chain, and the tightening condition of each connection part. When all the gears are used to engage the working parts in sequence, test the harvester, and pay attention to the conditions of each part during operation. The on-site empty test time of the corn harvester is not less than 3 hours, and the driving empty test time is not less than 1 hour.

4. Inspection before commissioning
① Check whether the installation of the bearings in each part and the high-speed rotating parts on the shaft (such as the stalk chopping device and the intermediate shaft) are normal.
②Check the tension of the V-belt and chain.
③ Check whether there are tools or irrelevant items left on the working parts of the harvester and whether all protective covers are in place.
④ Check whether the fuel, oil, and lubricating oil are in place.
