TAGRM vs Kubota 5.0 Rice Harvester

2022 08/16

Nanning TAGRM and Kubota, both have 5kg (feeding 5kg grain per second) crawler self-propelled full feed combine harvesters: TAGRM 4LZ-5.0 model, Kubota 4LZ-5B8 model.

The supporting engines of these two models, TAGRM uses a vertical water-cooled 4-cylinder turbocharged engine, and Kubota uses its own engine. Matching engine calibration power, TAGRM's 4LZ-5.0 reaches 88 kW, while Kubota's is 80.1 kW, TAGRM's harvester engine power is slightly larger.

Looking at the fuel consumption per unit of operation, TAGRM is 18.5-35 kg/ha, Kubota is 15-30 (wheat), 17-34 (rice) kg/ha, Kubota is slightly less fuel-efficient.

The working gears of these two models, TAGRM adopts slow gear and standard gear, and Kubota adopts stepless forward + stepless backward (3 gears for auxiliary transmission). Operating speed, TAGRM 0-5.3 km/h, Kubota 0-3.1 (low speed), 0-4.86 (medium speed), 0-7.56 (high speed) km/h. It can be seen that Kubota is slightly faster.

Looking at the hourly productivity, TAGRM is 0.35-0.65 hectares/hour, Kubota 0.4-0.64 (wheat), 0.3-0.5 (rice) hectares/hour. It can be seen that TAGRM is slightly dominant when harvesting rice.

Intuitively look at the overall dimensions of the working state (length × width × height), TAGRM5150 × 2560 × 2820 mm, Kubota 5795 × 2772 × 2887 mm. Relatively speaking, TAGRM is "shorter", "skinny" 21.2 cm, and also "shorter", which is more convenient for transportation.

Looking at the working range of the header, TAGRM is 2150 mm and Kubota is 2300 mm, a difference of 15 cm. The minimum ground clearance, TAGRM 340mm, Kubota 283mm, the difference is only 5.7cm.

The overall weight of these two models is 3800 kg for TAGRM and 4325 kg for Kubota, a difference of 525 kg, which is very different. The ground pressure of the track is 20.8 kPa for TAGRM and 22.4 kPa for Kubota. It can be seen that the difference is not very big.

In fact, there are also visible differences between the two models. Cutter type, TAGRM adopts standard II type, Kubota adopts IV type. Reel type, TAGRM uses eccentric spring teeth, Kubota uses eccentric spring teeth.

In addition, the main threshing drum type, TAGRM adopts rod-tooth type, and Kubota adopts pin-tooth axial flow type. Cab type, TAGRM adopts open cab, Kubota adopts closed type. Stem chopper type, TAGRM adopts throwing knife type, Kubota optional hanging type.
